Send Facebook Group Posts to Microsoft Teams

With the Groups Watcher Pro plan, you can receive every new post from your monitored Facebook groups and pages directly in a Microsoft Teams channel in under 60 seconds. This guide shows you how to get your Teams Incoming Webhook URL so you can provide it when setting up your notification channel.

This feature is available on the Pro plan. Check pricing here.

How to get your Teams webhook URL

  1. Click the ••• (show more) next to the channel name.
  2. Click Workflow.
  3. Search for Send webhook alerts to a channel.
  4. Click on it.
  5. Choose the channel where you want to receive the alerts.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Use the Copy webhook link button to copy your webhook URL.

Paste that URL when we ask for your notification channel (e.g. in your reply to our email or in Pro plan settings).

What we send to Teams

For each new Facebook group or page post, we send an Adaptive Card to your Teams webhook with:

  • Summary message, for example "New post in [Group Name]"
  • Group name and group URL
  • Poster name and poster profile URL
  • Post URL: link to open the post on Facebook
  • Post body: full text of the post
  • Images and videos: URLs of any attached media
  • Post type: regular post or marketplace
  • Timestamp (ISO 8601)

Test your Teams webhook

Send a test message to your Teams webhook to confirm setup. We use the same format as real new-post alerts (Adaptive Card with group, poster, post URL, and body), so you’ll see exactly how messages will look.

What you get in Teams

Once your webhook URL is configured, Groups Watcher will send each new Facebook group or page post to your Teams channel. Messages appear as rich cards with the group name, poster, post text, and links to the post and any images or videos.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get Facebook group posts in Microsoft Teams?

Subscribe to Groups Watcher Pro and choose Microsoft Teams as your notification channel. In Teams, create an incoming webhook for the channel you want (Workflow or connector flow depending on your tenant), copy the webhook URL, and paste it into Groups Watcher. We post adaptive card style messages when there is a new post in your monitored groups or pages. Most alerts arrive in under 60 seconds.

What is a Teams incoming webhook?

It is a URL Microsoft Teams provides for a channel so external services can post messages. Groups Watcher uses it to deliver group name, poster, post text, and links in a card your team can open from Teams.

What is Groups Watcher?

Groups Watcher watches Facebook groups and pages you add on Pro and routes alerts in under 60 seconds to Teams, Slack, Discord, email, ntfy, custom webhooks, and tools like Zapier, Make, and n8n.

Can I send a test message to Teams?

Yes. This documentation page includes a test button that sends a sample using the same structure as production alerts.

Can I use Groups Watcher for brand mentions on Facebook?

Yes. Teams use Pro to watch groups and pages where people talk about a brand, product, or competitor. Add keywords or AI filtering so you see the conversations that matter. Most alerts reach you in under 60 seconds through email, webhooks, Slack, and the other channels in these guides.

Pro plan only. Teams delivery is available when you subscribe to the Pro plan and choose Microsoft Teams as your notification channel. Need help? Contact support@groupswatcher.com.
