Send Facebook Group Posts to Slack
With the Groups Watcher Pro plan, you can receive every new post from your monitored Facebook groups and pages directly in a Slack channel. This guide shows you how to get your Slack Incoming Webhook URL so you can provide it when setting up your notification channel.
This feature is available on the Pro plan. Check pricing here.
How to get your Slack webhook URL
- Go to api.slack.com/apps. Click Create New App → From scratch. Name the app, pick your workspace, click Create App.
- In the left sidebar, click Incoming Webhooks. Toggle Activate Incoming Webhooks to On.
- Click Add New Webhook . Choose the channel you want posts in, then Allow.
- Copy the webhook URL shown (starts with
https://hooks.slack.com/...).
Paste that URL when we ask for your notification channel (e.g. in your reply to our email or in Pro plan settings).
What we send to Slack
For each new Facebook group or page post, we send a message to your Slack webhook with:
- Summary message — e.g. "New post in [Group Name]"
- Group name and group URL
- Poster name and poster profile URL
- Post URL — link to open the post on Facebook
- Post body — full text of the post
- Images and videos — URLs of any attached media
- Post type — regular post or marketplace
- Timestamp (ISO 8601)
What you get in Slack
Once your webhook URL is configured, Groups Watcher will send each new Facebook group or page post to your chosen Slack channel. Messages include the group name, poster, post text, and links to the post and any media—so your team can react and follow up without opening Facebook.
Pro plan only. Slack delivery is available when you subscribe to the Pro plan and choose Slack as your notification channel. Need help? Contact support@groupswatcher.com.
