Send Facebook Group Posts to ntfy
With the Groups Watcher Pro plan, you can receive every new Facebook group post as a push notification via ntfy in under 60 seconds. We give you a topic name. You choose where to receive it: iPhone, computer, or Android.
This feature is available on the Pro plan. Check pricing here.
ntfy does offer subscription tiers, but you do not need them. The free plan is enough. No need to subscribe to ntfy.

What we send to ntfy
For each new Facebook group or page post, we send a notification to your ntfy topic with:
- Summary message, for example "New post in [Group Name]"
- Group name and group URL
- Poster name and poster profile URL
- Post URL: link to open the post on Facebook (tap to open)
- Post body: full text of the post
- Images and videos: URLs of any attached media
- Post type: regular post or marketplace
- Timestamp (ISO 8601)
Send test notification
You can send a test notification to your ntfy topic to confirm setup. We use the same format as real post alerts (plain text with header, group, poster, post URL, and body), so you’ll see exactly how notifications will look.
Keep your topic name private
Anyone who knows your topic name can see notifications sent to it. Do not share it publicly. Groups Watcher will give you a unique topic. Use it only for your Pro plan setup.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get Facebook group post alerts on my phone with ntfy?
Sign up for Groups Watcher Pro and choose ntfy. We give you a unique topic name. Install the ntfy app on iPhone or Android, subscribe to that topic, or open ntfy.sh with your topic in the browser. When a new post appears in a group or page you monitor, you get a push notification in under 60 seconds that you can tap to open details or Facebook.
What is ntfy?
ntfy is a simple push notification service. You subscribe to a topic and receive messages posted to that topic. Groups Watcher publishes each alert to your private topic so you do not need Slack or email.
What is Groups Watcher?
Groups Watcher monitors Facebook groups and pages you configure on the Pro plan and can deliver alerts in under 60 seconds to ntfy, email, Slack, Discord, Teams, webhooks, and automation tools.
Should I share my ntfy topic name?
No. Anyone who knows the topic can see messages sent to it. Treat the topic like a secret URL and only use it in your Groups Watcher settings.
Can I use Groups Watcher for brand mentions on Facebook?
Yes. Teams use Pro to watch groups and pages where people talk about a brand, product, or competitor. Add keywords or AI filtering so you see the conversations that matter. Most alerts reach you in under 60 seconds through email, webhooks, Slack, and the other channels in these guides.
Pro plan only. ntfy delivery is available when you subscribe to the Pro plan and choose ntfy as your notification channel. Need help? Contact support@groupswatcher.com.
