Send Facebook Group Posts to ntfy

With the Groups Watcher Pro plan, you can receive every new Facebook group post as a push notification via ntfy. We give you a topic name—you just choose where to receive: iPhone, computer, or Android.

This feature is available on the Pro plan. Check pricing here.

ntfy does offer subscription tiers, but you don’t need them—the free plan is enough. No need to subscribe to ntfy.

iPhone

  1. Download the ntfy app from the App Store.
  2. Open the app. Tap the + (plus) button to add a topic.
  3. Paste the topic name that Groups Watcher gave you (or type it in), then confirm/subscribe.
  4. Done. Whenever there’s a new post, you’ll get a push notification—with options like Open post in Facebook.

Computer

  1. Open your browser and go to ntfy.sh/ + your topic name (e.g. if we gave you my-groups-alerts, go to ntfy.sh/my-groups-alerts).
  2. Leave the tab open. New posts will show on that page as they arrive.

Android

  1. Download the ntfy app from Google Play.
  2. Open the app. Tap the + (plus) button to add a topic.
  3. Paste the topic name that Groups Watcher gave you (or type it in), then confirm/subscribe.
  4. Done. Whenever there’s a new post, you’ll get a push notification—with options like Open post in Facebook.

What we send to ntfy

For each new Facebook group or page post, we send a notification to your ntfy topic with:

  • Summary message — e.g. "New post in [Group Name]"
  • Group name and group URL
  • Poster name and poster profile URL
  • Post URL — link to open the post on Facebook (tap to open)
  • Post body — full text of the post
  • Images and videos — URLs of any attached media
  • Post type — regular post or marketplace
  • Timestamp (ISO 8601)

Keep your topic name private

Anyone who knows your topic name can see notifications sent to it. Don’t share it publicly. Groups Watcher will give you a unique topic—use it only for your Pro plan setup.

Pro plan only. ntfy delivery is available when you subscribe to the Pro plan and choose ntfy as your notification channel. Need help? Contact support@groupswatcher.com.
