Send Facebook Group Posts to Discord
With the Groups Watcher Pro plan, you can receive every new post from your monitored Facebook groups and pages directly in a Discord channel in under 60 seconds. This guide shows you how to get your Discord webhook URL so you can provide it when setting up your notification channel.
This feature is available on the Pro plan. Check pricing here.
How to get your Discord webhook URL
- Click the settings (gear) for the text channel you want posts to go to.
- Go to Integrations, then Webhooks.
- Click New Webhook.
- Click Copy Webhook URL.
Paste that URL when we ask for your notification channel (e.g. in your reply to our email or in Pro plan settings).
What we send to Discord
For each new Facebook group or page post, we send a message to your Discord webhook with:
- Summary message, for example "New post in [Group Name]"
- Group name and group URL
- Poster name and poster profile URL
- Post URL: link to open the post on Facebook
- Post body: full text of the post
- Images and videos: URLs of any attached media
- Post type: regular post or marketplace
- Timestamp (ISO 8601)
Test your Discord webhook
Send a test message to your Discord webhook to confirm setup. We use the same format as real new-post alerts (embed with group, poster, post URL, and body), so you’ll see exactly how messages will look.
What you get in Discord
Once your webhook URL is configured, Groups Watcher will send each new Facebook group or page post to your Discord channel. Messages include the group name, poster, post text, and links to the post and any images or videos.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get Facebook group posts in Discord?
Use Groups Watcher Pro and pick Discord as your notification channel. In Discord, open channel settings, Integrations, Webhooks, create a new webhook, and copy its URL. Paste that URL into Groups Watcher. New posts from your monitored groups or pages appear as embed style messages in that channel. Most arrive in under 60 seconds.
What is a Discord webhook URL?
It is a secret URL tied to one channel. When Groups Watcher sends a request to it, Discord creates a message in that channel. Keep the URL private because anyone with it could post to your channel.
What is Groups Watcher?
Groups Watcher monitors Facebook groups and pages you configure and sends alerts in under 60 seconds to Discord, Slack, email, custom webhooks, Microsoft Teams, ntfy, and automation platforms linked from the main docs page.
Can I test Discord notifications first?
Yes. Use the test tool on this page to send a sample notification that matches the live format.
Can I use Groups Watcher for brand mentions on Facebook?
Yes. Teams use Pro to watch groups and pages where people talk about a brand, product, or competitor. Add keywords or AI filtering so you see the conversations that matter. Most alerts reach you in under 60 seconds through email, webhooks, Slack, and the other channels in these guides.
Pro plan only. Discord delivery is available when you subscribe to the Pro plan and choose Discord as your notification channel. Need help? Contact support@groupswatcher.com.
